Frequently asked questions
What kinds of bags does Cinch work on? +
Cinch is designed for common polyethylene and polypropylene bags — think chip bags, bread bags, frozen produce bags, and standard poly food storage bags. It is not designed for paper, foil, or vacuum-seal bags.
How long does the battery last? +
Cinch has a 1600mAh built-in battery that charges over USB-C and is rated for roughly 100–300 seals per full charge, depending on bag thickness and seal length.
Is the seal airtight? +
Cinch bonds the plastic layers of the bag together to close the opening and reduce air exposure, which helps food stay fresher for longer than an open bag or a clip. It's a resealing tool, not a vacuum sealer, so it won't remove air from inside the bag.
How do I clean it? +
Wipe the sealing strip with a dry or slightly damp cloth once it has fully cooled. Don't submerge the unit in water.
